These days of restricted socialising has had the effect of allowing many more memories than usual to come to mind. On occasion, when the mornings have been bright and fresh, we have both mentioned the times when we lived in Tunis and the memories come flooding back. What a great place to begin married life. We lived in a tiny villa surrounded by a small garden filled with orange trees, geraniums, hibiscus, honeysuckle, and jasmine.

We had one peach tree and watched its one fruit avidly as grew and ripened, anticipating the day when we could eat a peach grown in our own garden. One morning we woke and went out to inspect our crop only to find it lying on the ground half nibbled away by an early bird. We still feel that disappointment all these years later.
