The haiga editor’s comment:

While each haiga of Adelaide’s is striking in its own way her "Fleet’s In" is my personal favorite. It’s an activity-biased haiku that immediately draws the reader into the image, the activity and the lobster itself. Adelaide is a consistent haiga poet that produces quality, traditional pieces over and over again. She has graced the pages of Simply Haiku in prior issues as well. Take a moment and look for her work. It’s worth your time.

Adelaide B. Shaw lives in Millbrook, New York. Her haiku and other Japanese short form poetry have appeared in many journals. Her collection of haiku, An Unknown Road, placed 3rd in the Mildred Kanterman Merit Book Award for 2009.
