bent weathervane
masked smiles under
deeply sad eyes

a silvered cloud passes
the twig in the crow's beak

entwined in laurel
the remembered scent
marriage vows

open window
the sound of church bells
as blossoms fall

a single tear wets
the shriveled white lily

dew drops
on young leaves
unfurling light
